Does How You Feel Have to Do with How You Look?

How a woman is viewed usually starts with their facial beauty than goes to their waist, hips, and thighs.  Up until the invention of plastic surgery the only thing that women could change as it relates to their own bodies was their weight.  It has been researched that the emotions of many women are directly related to how they view themselves, more specifically when it comes to their body’s and the things they would want to change.

Here is a great example of a pear shaped woman.  Most women I speak with would rather be a pear shape versus a apple shape and when asked why they simply say because they at least have some hips and thighs.  I also would think it’s because they would rather have fat on their buttocks as oppose to most of it in their breast and waistline.

What is your shape apple or pear?  Most women know that there are two widely known body types which are the apple and pear shapes but don’t know which one they are or what things they can do to help to achieve a better look .

The Apple Shaped Woman

The apple body shape woman will tend to have narrow hips, slightly bigger breasts and a waistline that is bigger than 0.8 when measured using the waist-to-hip ratio (WHR). An apple type body will have the excess fat mainly stored around the breast and waist.

The Pear Shaped Woman

The pear shape body is a woman who has a smaller upper body and a heavier lower body. These women will usually have smaller breasts, thicker hips and thighs, and a waist-to-hip ratio of lower than 0.8.  For pear shaped women you will get most of you fat stored in below your waistline around your buttocks, hips and thighs.

How to Change Your Look and Be More Confident

If you look on the internet you will always find something like apple shape exercises or pear shape exercises.  Listen ladies don’t waste your time trying to find a particular exercise to solve your issue with your body type.  If you want to gain more confidence you must first realize and accept that you are already beautiful and that you want to make a change.  Below are some tips to help change your look:

A Smaller Waistline Comes from Eating Less

Far too many women think or are even told that they need to do some silly waist exercise in order to get a smaller waistline or hips.  Getting a smaller waist or just losing weight period comes from eating less calories than your body needs to burn for fuel.  When you eat fewer calories your body is forced to use reserved fat for fuel and hence you lose both fat and weight.  I recommend intermittent fasting as a way to allow you to not only eat the foods you like but also lose weight.

All Cardio Is Not Equal, Some Types of Cardio Work Better Than Others

Any woman who gets off their butt and actually does cardio deserves a round of applause as too many decide not to do anything and can’t figure out why they are losing weight.  Behind dieting cardio would be one of the most important aspects of losing weight and getting those hips and thighs looking sexy.  Doing cardio is great but you should be focusing on what is known as high intensity interval training (HIIT).  This type of cardio can be done 2-3 times per week and only takes about 20 minutes out of your day.  The great thing is that you will be blown away at the amounts of calories you burn both inside and outside of the gym.

Change the Way You Dress To Change Your Look

A lot of women simply wear the wrong clothing for their particular body type.  If you are an apple shape and carry most of your weight in your midsection then you should stay away from two piece bathing suits as all this does is draw attention to the area that you are least comfortable with.  I am no fashion designer but I do know that I you don’t like something about your body the last thing you want to do is point it out to everyone else.

What’s the Key To it All?

The one thing that most women miss when trying to look better and lose weight is sticking with the plan long enough to see it through.  I see this all the time with women who start something and don’t see the results they were expecting.  Instead of sticking with it they decide to change something about what they are doing or even worse jump ship and try something completely different.  You have to give your diet and exercise enough time to actually work.  Be focus and give yourself credit where credit is due, if you lose 1 or 2 pounds be happy.  To help you on your journey make sure you keep a journal and write down everything you eat and do and go over it each week.

“She’s Got the Look” is an original television series hosted by Brooke Burke that airs season 3 August 25, 2010.  The show is all about discovering beautiful and sexy women who are all over the age of 35 years old.  The point of the show is to transform women into a successful model through a journey the pushes them through several competitions ranging from photo shoots to fashion tests.

These are the beautiful women of “She’s Got the Look” season 2.  Being over 30 does’t mean you can’t look and feel great as these women clearly show.  It’s up to you to do the things needed to make sure you are health and strong and look great well after the age of 30.

The Contestants On She’s Got the Look

The great thing about the contestants on She’s Got the Look is that they range from the ages of 35 to 54.   These beautiful women range from grandmothers to certified bus mechanics from Los Angeles California.  These women also vary in height ranges as well in that some of them are as short as 5 foot 4 inches while other top the scale at above 5’7.  What I like is that the show shows you that you can be different older and still beautiful, sophisticated and sexy.

Well the great thing is that all of these women look great and while no one can ever really look the same you too can have a great body and be in awesome shape.  Not only to most of the contestants workout but they also work really jobs and have a happy lifestyle.  These are the tips recommended to get the looks of the contestants.

Tips to Get the Look and Body of the Contestants

Proper Diet – Dieting seems to big the most over looked aspect when it comes to losing weight.  It’s not about what you need to start eating but rather what you need to stop eating.  Many women simply eat too many calories.  I’m not asking you to stop eating your favorite foods just eat less of it and make sure you give your body time to digest and use to food.

Drink Water – A lot of women tell me all the time that they drink enough water on a day to day basis.  The thing is that usually when you are snacking its not because you are hungry but rather because you are thirsty.  When I asked what else the drank that day it is usually followed with I have coffee, a sports drink and some other things.

Cut back on the empty calories – This follows my tip from above about drinking water as so many women don’t realize how many empty calories are in sports drinks and soda.  Just think that you could be adding an additional 500-1000 calories per day from fluids and this doesn’t include calories from your food sources.

Interval Training for Cardio – Yes, you go running on the treadmill but are you doing interval training?  Interval training is designed so that your workouts only last for about 20 minutes and they can be done on treadmills and elliptical.  The best thing about interval training is that you can burn calories twice as fast during the workout and even when you are done your body will burn calories for up to another 24 hours after.

Jillian Michaels Tips for Healthier Sexier You

Since “The Biggest Loser” a lot of people have taken notice of Jillian Michaels.  Jillian Michaels tips seemed to be well received from many people due to the fact that see is living proof that you can accomplish what you want.  Once being overweight at 172lbs she has been able to not only motivate herself but also millions of others.  Today I will post up some of Jillian Micheals tips.

Crunches and Six Pack Abs

Crunches are not needed to have a great set of abs.  Many viewers of the show thought that Jillian spends hours doing abs exercises for her core muscles.  However, she focuses on doing compound workouts and a healthy low calorie diet to keep her abs visible and strong.

Accept Cellulite

Like many of the women in the world Jillian also has cellulite and sadly no she does not have a special exercise to get rid of it.  She does however state that no woman is able to completely get rid of cellulite so you should accept it but work to reduce it.  The best ways to reduce cellulite is through working out and some of the exercises are lunges and squats.

Nothing Wrong with Losing Weight Fast

Many will have you to believe that there is no such thing as losing weight too fast.  You even hear people say the faster you lose it the quicker you put it on.  Jillian begs to differ in that she feels losing weight quickly is not harmful if it is done properly through diet and exercise.  Making sure that the body is getting enough nutrients and water are the key.

Cardio Is Your Friend

Along with dieting, cardio exercise is the biggest help for obese people.  Even on the biggest loser most of the contestants will do a total of 3 or more hours of cardio for almost six days per week with one to two days off.  Walking, climbing stairs, spinning and running are all great forms of cardio but make sure you cut back if you start to have pains in your knees or shin splints.

Work Out Harder

Being a tough as nails trainer Jillian doesn’t believe in taking it easy at any point and even hires a trainer to make sure she pushes herself.  Her advice is to not take it easy on yourself and give it your all every minute of your workout session.  Vomiting to her is a good thing as you may see people on “The Biggest Loser” vomit during the first week of the show.  According to Jillian, usually people throw up when they are beginning an exercise regimen and at the same time they have an excess build up of lactic acid and suffer from detox.

Do What You Dislike

Many people think that people with great bodies enjoy working out.  The fact is that they don’t necessarily like working out they like the end result that it brings.  Do what you dislike as it well give you the results that you are looking for.
