When eating out all you have to do is simply ask the waiter to give you only half the meal and place the rest in containers to take home. Most meals at restaurants are servings for two in the first place so this is a great start to eating out healthy.

Having fun with your girlfriends can easily lead to a lot of drinking. Alcohol can account for a lot of empty calories and unwanted fat gains. Have fun but watch the empty calories from drinking.

When eating out and trying to be healthy you need to watch the number of calories you are consuming simply from drinking liquids. Remember when eating out you are usually some place where the drink refills are free. Being cautious of eating and drinking empty calories since this is a big concern for most people.
In a given setting while eating out, I have seen people drink over 1500 calories. To be healthy and lose weight you are going to have to cut the empty calories when eating out. Soda and mixed drinks are very high in calories which add up to unwanted calories.

Another tip I use when trying to be healthy when eating out is to look at the menu on the internet before I go some place. Almost every place you eating out at will have a menu online with all the calorie and nutritional information you will need. Before going to eat out at a restaurant take the time and look at the menu so that you can make sure you don’t end up choosing one of those 2000+ calorie meals.
When you are in the comfort of your own home you can make healthy choices before going to eat out. Once you are in the restaurant it is hard to choose a healthy meal with all the smells of the delicious foods. Healthy eating out starts with making smart choices before even going to the restaurants. Be smart and eat out the healthy way by taking the time to review your choices before dining out.
What it All Amounts To
Honestly in the end healthy eating when eating out comes down to simply making better choices and most importantly watching your calories. When trying to lose weight and still enjoy eating out at restaurants with friends and family you need to be prepared and know how much you are eating. Losing weight is all about calories and not over indulging. So go out have a good time and enjoy what you are eating when you are eating out, just eat less of it!

What Weight Watchers did for Jennifer Hudson weight loss was to limit her calorie intake by making her aware of what she was eating. By continuously looking at points she had to make smart decisions as to what she would be eating for the day. Eating to many points in the beginning of the day would mean she would not be able to eat much later.
