				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>So far, so good! Since I have been out o have to judge from being out of the blogging world for the past several months, ok years.  I stepped back up to the plate and I haven’t hit a home-run yet but I am swinging and having good at bats.</p>
<p>We all go through our ups and downs and its just a matter of getting back in focus and doing what needs to be done.  You are not going to always feel like doing the things you really need too but if you want the results you have no choice.</p>
<h2>Take it Little By Little – Baby Steps</h2>
<p>I know that many women may read this and say, what the heck is he talking about with the baseball and the swinging at the plate?  Well simple, for to often we go from doing nothing to expecting to be experts or to be able to do what we once did.</p>
<p>Take my blogging for example, when I was fresh and starting out I was blogging every day and even writing content for places like Ezines, Squidoo, GoArticles, etc.  You name it I was doing it.  The problem is that things changes, my life changed, and new pieces where added to the same old puzzle and they didn’t fit.</p>
<p>I needed to adjust but didn’t know how so what happened was that I quit!  Things got to me and I wasn’t getting the results I wanted however, nor was I giving it 150% like I was before either.</p>
<h2>Rushing Into Too Fast Will Cause Problems</h2>
<p>Let getting back on the saddle when it came to writing more blog posts there were several times when I tried to keeping churning out the content and it wasn’t there.  I wasn’t able to come up with the quality and quantity that I once was capable of doing.</p>
<p>So once again I would quit because I was expecting too much too soon.  At the time I really didn’t put two and two thing but over the months I started noticing that I had this fight or flight thing going on.  It was all or nothing and more often then not it ended up being the nothing.</p>
<h2>Pump Your Brakes – Easy Easy</h2>
<p>Weight loss can be like blogging in that I see my wife and many other women expect too much too soon.  Can you really go from eating a whole bunch of junk to cold turkey in a few days?  Probably not!  Are you going to go from not working out at all to working out 7 days a week for the long term, chances are you are going to fail.</p>
<p>Instead why not give yourself some goals that you can accomplish that will keep you spirit up and make you want to do more.  Plan to be more active or exercise once or twice per week in the beginning and move up.  Stick to only being able to eat sweets on certain days until you can wean yourself off fully.</p>
<p>The baby steps will help you walk and then run your way to the finish line to losing weight.  Do set goals but not ones that you have no ways of completing in the beginning.  This is just my opinion and what has work for my wife and other women I have helped lose weight.</p>
<p>Remember losing weight like everything is a process, a long term process.  You will have to make several life long changes to get and keep the body you want.  Start small and work your way up.</p>
<h2>Plans for You and Weight Loss</h2>
<p>If you want to lose weight find some activities that you find to be fun.  Something you enjoy doing but will really give you that burn.  For some woman it can be rollerblading, swimming, volleyball, lifting weights, or riding bikes.</p>
<p>The key is making sure you enjoy it enough to make you want to do it no matter what.  For me its running, it gives me a burn but more and importantly that release I need from everything.  When you find that thing, make sure you don’t use the terms workout or exercise because that makes it just seem like a bad idea.</p>
<p>Remember when you were young and you just did things that we fun like riding bikes, jump rope, running up and down the street chasing friends?  Wasn’t that fun?  Can you imagine how many calories you burned and didn’t even pay attention to it?  Now however, if someone gives you a rope the first thing that comes to mind <b>damn it I don’t feel like exercising. </b> This is something we need to work on!</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>That time as come and again and my wife will soon be having our first.  It seems like every time I write something the first things I mention are my wife and our baby.  I guess am just so happy and excited.  With the happiness I know that there will also be a lot of issues and problems over the course of the next few months after our little one gets here.</p>
<p>Lately my wife has started talking more and more about her going back to the gym and <a href="http://waisthipsandthighs.com/how-to-get-a-smaller-waist/">getting her sexy body back</a> she had before she got pregnant.  The problem is going to be that things are not going to be the same.  And there lies my problem.</p>
<h2>No More Eight Hours of Sleep</h2>
<p>One of the biggest changes is going to be that no one in the house except the two boys are going to get a full nights rest.  With this means my wife is already going to be tired from being up and having to go to work etc.  Let me first say that YES I will be helping and not getting any sleep but my wife and I are built different.</p>
<p>I can make it off of 3-4 hours of sleep because that’s just how I roll!!  She needs her rest and with wanting to spend time with the little one, working, cooking, and cleaning we are going to have to make sure she gets more then enough rest.  I think we may be able to find some time on the weekends for her to take a nap or two but the weekdays are going to be killer.</p>
<h2>Eating For Two While Losing for One</h2>
<p>My wife and I decided on breastfeeding our baby so for the first few months she needs to make sure she is eating enough so that she gets the nutrients the will cover the both of them.  No she isn’t going to over eat but at the same time there is no room for dieting and fasting at this point in my opinion.</p>
<p>This the first time that we will be trying to focus on her weight in years and this comes after a pregnancy which is already hard in itself.  Add that she will be still eating for two and trying to lose weight, and we may have a recipe for disaster.</p>
<p>I keep telling her not to worry about her weight but I am sure as women you understand she doesn’t want to hear it.  For me, I don’t want her putting too much pressure on herself because I know it will just backfire if things don’t go the way she wants it.</p>
<h2>Our Schedule is Going to Be F’ed Up</h2>
<p>Yeah I said it!  I have been there before and when a baby comes in the house throw everything out the window.  What should have happened at 1 will happen at 3 and the nap you thought your baby was going to take isn’t going to happen when it was supposed to.  The nap you wanted to take at 5 will happen at 8 and you won’t wake back up until the middle of the night.</p>
<p>My wife has all these high hopes and expectations but the fact is that its going to be hard.  It’s not easy and I am trying to find the right balance between being supportive and being realistic.</p>
<h2>Thinking about Weight Too Soon</h2>
<p>The question I have or wonder about is if my wife is thing about losing pregnancy weight too soon.  I mean she hasn’t even have the baby yet and even when she does I think she should give it sometime to get used to things.</p>
<p>It’s easy for me to say but my body didn’t just put on an extra 30+ pounds in 9 months.  I want to be as supportive as can be but at the same time I know my wife.  When she has a goal it is best to let her go at it while she is focused and not side tracked.</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Well this is my second post this week so I would like to say that I am back but I know that for the most part being back is only as good for the time I am actually here and writing.  It’s been a long 18 months or so and I am just getting into the swing of things.</p>
<p>I mentioned in my previous post that I was basically so not feeling the blogging thing.  To be honest that was a part of it but mostly it was the dealing with the lost of the baby and supporting my wife who was having a hard time with it.</p>
<p><b>Blogging Wasn’t Just Blogging</b></p>
<p>When I started WHAT, the main reason was because I wanted to get better a writing content online and having a voice.  Then I met some wonderful people online who were actually making some real money selling products.</p>
<p>Enter the need to write for the purpose of making money online.  Let me \tell you that if you are writing just to make some cash you are going to have a hard time keeping up and staying motivated.</p>
<p>I got lost in the shuffle and was only writing what I thought would sell a product and so the means to get better at writing was replaced with the urge to make money.</p>
<p><b>What Changed and How I Changed</b></p>
<p>It was about six months of writing, linking, commenting, and be everywhere I possibly could that I learned you can actually make money and I got my first sale.  Boy was I happy but the writing wasn’t enjoyable.</p>
<p>Around this time my <a href="http://waisthipsandthighs.com/how-to-get-a-smaller-waist/">wife wanted to lose some weight</a> and I figured hey maybe I can get her to listen to me finally.  For a change she listened after about 2-5 years of me being frustrated that she would listen to everyone but here significant other.</p>
<p>She started <a href="http://www.waisthipsandthighs.com/intermittent-fasting-to-lose-weight/">Eat Stop Eat</a> and Turbulence Training and the weight slowly started to drop off.  This wasn’t quick fix but something that would be sustainable.  When I saw that I could help my wife, I knew I could help others and my mindset changed and I was back to writing to help others.</p>
<p><b>Why This Is Important for WHAT going Forward</b></p>
<p>Well I took a break and now I am back and my beautiful wife is pregnant and about to have our first child in April.  After the baby she is ready to get back on it and lose all the weight she gained throughout the pregnancy.</p>
<p>I will use this site to help walk you through the ins and outs of how things are going for her and will try to upload as many pictures as she will allow.  My plans are to let you know what exercises she is doing, cardio, and meal plan.</p>
<p><b>What I have planned for Her To Lose Weight</b></p>
<p>Well she doesn’t know it yet but though I loved the <b>Turbulence Training program</b> she did to lose weight I am going to try a different one this time.  The workout she will be using will be Visual Impact for Women and Eat Stop Eat will still be the meal plan of choice.</p>
<p>I hope that you enjoy our journey and this time I have plans to stay.  I have actually been trying over the last few days to catch up with some of the bloggers I was friends with and sadly many of them are no longer bloggers.</p>
<p>It could be that they burnt out or like myself had a lot more important issues to deal with.  Again my plans this time is to make sure I am here to not only share with you my wife’s journey but also help many of you along the way.</p>
<p>Losing weight is not easy and won’t happen overnight.  There are no quick fixes and you will have to change your mindset if you hope to succeed.  But again I am here to help and feel free to ask as many questions as you may like.  I may not have the answers but I will do my best to find it.</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Hello everyone!  I would just like to say that is has been about a year since I seriously posted a blog here on Waist Hips and Thighs.  When I say seriously I mean me taking time to put a post together that meant something.</p>
<p>A lot of things have happened since I have stepped away the most noticeable is that I kind of left my blog, readers, and online family out in the cold.  While there is no excuse for doing so there are many reasons that I hope you all can understand.</p>
<p><strong>The Lost of Our Baby</strong></p>
<p>One of the things I though I could get over and still maintain the blog was that lost of our baby.  My wife was only about 2 month pregnant when she had a miscarriage and while I know I handled it better than my wife I just didn’t feel like writing.</p>
<p>For a time I felt like there were so many other important things in life and the blog wasn’t one of them.  Though I admit I am a bit of a introvert(well ok a BIG INTROVERT) the website was my way to open up and I just didn’t feel like opening up.</p>
<p><strong>Talk the Talk – Walk the Walk</strong></p>
<p>You can say that another reason I didn’t update my blog was because I didn’t feel like I was being true to my readers or myself.  Go figure here I am talking about being healthy, losing weight and keeping it off and I was sitting around home eating, not working out and gaining weight.</p>
<p>To me it seemed as though I would have been being a hypocrite if I would have posted anything at that time of my life. So instead I bowed out gracefully until I got my act together and lets just say I am back and in full mode.  I am ready to start posting and taking action.</p>
<p><strong>Things that Have Happened While Away</strong></p>
<p>Since I stopped posting on WHAT I have found a new love for SEO and all things digital.  I actually started a new blog recently that needs some love as well and its my personal blog <a title="Visit my personal blog" href="http://thomassmoore.com">Thomas S. Moore</a>.</p>
<p>My wife is now pregnant and we are expecting our first little bundle of joy together in April.  I also got another job in digital marketing for a great company who treat me like family.</p>
<p>And last but not least we are looking to buy a home before this summer and the house hunting has begun.  With that being said I have a lot of things that I would still like to update everyone on.</p>
<p><strong>What to Expect Going Forward</strong></p>
<p>Going forward Waist, Hips, and Thighs will get back to focusing on what I know best and live through which is the up and downs of weight loss with my wife.  This will be a new chapter as I will now be able to look at it from the point of gaining pregnancy weight and how to get that body you had before.</p>
<p>I look forward to discussing the problems I see as well as some of the best solutions to problems the many women face.  We will also look at how you can get the body you want and keep it without killing yourself at the gym or starving.</p>
<p><strong>Waist, Hips and Thighs (WHAT!)</strong> is back and we are ready to roll.  Expect a post before the end of this week and also expect to see me popping my head back into the scene where I check in on my fellow bloggers to see how they have been.</p>
