  • Warm up by jogging about 100 meters and then walk back to your starting point.
  • Do this about 2-3 times but each time jog a little bit faster than the previous time.
  • On your 5th set run as fast as you can but start by jogging the first 25 meters then break into a full sprint.
  • Walk back and repeat 4 more times and the give yourself a five minute cool-down.

So recently I was asked to tell someone how to lose 20 pounds in 2 weeks?  My response was, “Wow are you serious!!”  She then said that she was going to her class reunion and wanted to have a body like Stacy Keibler so that everyone would be jealous.  Losing 2-3 pounds per week is hard enough as it is but possible.  But when you are talking about 20 pounds in under a few months it’s almost impossible.  Even though never thought about having a client lose so much weight so fast I starting thinking what would it take for a person to lose that much weight in that short period of time.

Although Stacy Keibler has a great body this is not something you are going to achieve without hard work and patience.  Some women may already be close to where they don’t need a few months.  But looking to lose 20lbs and look like this in two weeks is almost impossible.

I know I just said that Beyonce gained all of her weight back but remember you are asking for a miracle here so we need all the help we can get.  What I would suggest is going on the detox, but only drink fluids for 2-3 .  Instead of not eating at all on those days have a single meal at dinner time of about 500-800 calories.  This will give you the much needed energy while at the same time cutting out the calories you need to lose weight.  Think of this as fasting 2-3 days per week where you eat just one meal on those days.

High Intensity Interval Training

Time to cut out the boring old steady state cardio and get your butt moving if you want to shed that 20 pounds.  The only way you are going to consistently burn enough calories is if you do interval training.  Now this can be done on the treadmill, elliptical workout or even by sprinting outside.  The key is to make sure that you are giving your all doing the high intensity period and resting enough on the rest stage.  Make sure when you are suppose to break you actually take a break.

Eating Properly To Lose 20lbs

When I say eating properly I am not talking about changing your diet but you are going to have to eat fewer calories.  If this means throwing out all of the junk food in your house then do so.  Remember that if you are 5 feet tall there is no way you should be eating anywhere near that amount of calories as someone who is 5 feet 5 inches.  You need to cut your calories so if you where eating 2500 calories per day you need to drop it to 1600-1800.  I know is seems like a lot but you are asking for a lot in trying to losing that much weight that fast.

Stay away from Empty Calories

You have heard this one before you have to stay away from sodas and alcohol, its just that simple.  Eating is not the only way to get in unwanted calories and it definitely not the fastest way either.  More people consume calories from fluids faster than anything else.  Just think how quickly you can drink a beer or a can of cola.  Most of the sports drinks are about 300 calories per container and are usually gone before you know it.  The plan for these two weeks will be to consume water and only water!

Losing 20lbs in 2 Weeks Isn’t Easy

I wouldn’t suggest that anyone try to lose 20lbs in two weeks as this isn’t easy and certainly not really healthy.  What I wanted to do is simply see if I could put something together that could possible achieve this goal.  Losing that much weight in that short period of time would really also depend on how much you are overweight.  If you are someone who only has about 20 pounds to lose versus someone who is 100 pounds than the person who is 100lbs overweight would have an easier time.

Find your nearest pool and warm-up by swimming the length of the pool a couple of times to warm-up.  A few laps back and forth will do the trick but make sure you are doing this at moderate pace.  Now what you will do is rest for about 60 seconds then begin your workout.  Start at one end and swim as fast as you can all way to the other end.  Once there rest for 45-60 seconds and then swim back to the other end as fast as you can.  You will do this for about 4-6 times and follow with a few laps to cool down.  If you can’t swim the full lap try going from one side of the pool to the next but you may need to increase the amount of times you do it.
